Welcome

Welcome to the website of Hull, England based songwriter, worship leader, computer scientist, school teacher. science fiction nerd and cyclist (yeah, I know ... that's a weird collection of things).

I am in the process of retooling my various web presences in order to make them a little more manageable given the amount of free time all of the above things afford me, in particular, merging my former game site (JDGames) into this main one. Mostly this is because I am no longer actively developing remakes of retro games, again the time factor is part of it, but also the advent of smartphones and tablets has rendered it somewhat moot given that a lot of the originals are now being revamped and released for these new platforms.

I may well return to it one day (especially now that I can boast being a proper programmer) but again time will be the guiding light as far as that is concerned. In the meantime, you can download the existing games/demos from the JDGames page, all of which work quite happily under Windows 10.

At this point, I have no intention of merging the sites for That Fatal Kiss Music, theREIGN or the Rock Eucharist events into this site, but they will be linked from here wherever appropriate.

In time, there will also be a blog where I can share my musings on whatever takes my fancy, mostly based around the interests listed at the top of the page.

On The Web

This site is only a part of my presence on the World Wide Web, the rest is all to do with my various musical shenanigens.

That Fatal Kiss Music is the site where I self-publish my worship songs, now numbering almost 50. All are CCLI registered and have been used not only in my own and other churches around the world, bu several have taken prominent roles in the Rock Eucharist events (see below).

theREIGN are the itinerant worship band I have led since 2002. We have played all around the country, including three appearances at the Greenbelt Festival as well as being prominent in the local churches.

The Rock Eucharist is theREIGN’s signature event, combining the traditional Anglican communion service with rock music, both church and secular. Through 8 different versions, we have now led over 70 of these events all over the country.

On The Bike

If you are interested in that sort of thing, this box will show a log of my rides …

Charities

In 2017, I rode a couple of century events (RideLondon and VeloBirmingham) to raise money for two amazing charities … both of which support schools that give hope and a future to hundreds of children in poverty-ridden areas of Kenya.

You can find out more about their work, and ways you can support them by clicking on their logos below:
